Touchscreen

Harnessing the facilities of a Touchscreen terminal, Inventrix have created a unique facility to allow the technician access to all the information needed to carry out his/her task. Up to three touchscreens can be linked to a networked PC, and the screens are specially equipped to operate in the Laboratory environment. Touchscreens can therefore be located at a technicians bench giving the technician control of his/her own time recording (Arrival and Finishing time, and a whole range of non-productive and productive activities that are user-defined).

Work is pre-allocated to a technician so when he/she books onto the system the technician gets to see all the cases that have to be completed that day, and the system provides access to all the case details and any images that have been provided by the doctor.   Documents can be added to the case at any time, such that emails, notes etc that are provided by the Doctor are made available to the technician doing the work. Additionally the Laboratory can provide training information to the technician – these can be in the form of training videos, health and safety notes, manufacturer’s instructions etc – and these materials are available to the technician on the bench.
